Using it quickly and correctly greatly increases the person’s chances of survival until medical help arrives.

Placing these at strategic points in our facilities, easily accessible by all, is an important step towards ensuring maximum protection. In addition, our employees have received the necessary training in its use, so that they are able to provide immediate first aid when needed.

An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is a small, lightweight, reliable device that automatically detects heart rhythm and has the ability, based on programming, to determine if defibrillation is required (without operator intervention). It charges automatically and prompts the operator with voice instructions in Greek to administer electrical energy, with the aim of restarting the heart.

The non-medical user does not need special knowledge, except for training in Basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (B-CPR) and the use of AED, which is provided either in a special certified seminar recognized by the EEKAAN of KESY or in the context of professional training certified by KESY .
